About

Protecting what matters, with more clarity and less pressure.

Blackshore Financial was founded by Nick Cherry to help make life-insurance conversations more personal, understandable, and centered on the people a policy is intended to protect.

Nick Cherry

Owner

Nick founded Blackshore Financial with a simple belief: life-insurance decisions should not feel overwhelming. His approach starts with listening to a family’s goals and explaining choices and tradeoffs in plain language.

Nick’s approach is shaped by personal experiences with loss and financial uncertainty, along with earlier work inside traditional insurance and financial organizations. Those experiences showed him how easily families can feel treated impersonally or left confused.

At Blackshore, he emphasizes listening first, plain-language education, and family-centered recommendations. Whether the need involves final expenses or a longer-term protection strategy, his goal is for each person to leave the conversation feeling clearer, calmer, and more confident about the next step.

Role and licensing note

“Owner” identifies Nick Cherry’s role in the business. It is not a claim about an insurance license, professional credential, line of authority, carrier appointment, or product availability; those items are verified separately before a state-specific discussion.

How Blackshore approaches the conversation

Clarity, care, and room to decide.

Education before recommendation

Insurance terminology can obscure the questions that matter. Blackshore’s intended process begins with the need, explains tradeoffs in plain language, and leaves room for careful review.

No one-size-fits-all answer

Coverage depends on personal circumstances and insurer underwriting. The goal of an initial conversation is to identify questions and next steps—not to promise eligibility, pricing, or outcomes.

Clear professional boundaries

Website information is educational and is not legal, tax, investment, fiduciary, or estate-planning advice. A properly authorized producer must confirm state authority and product availability before a specific insurance discussion.

A clear next step

Bring your questions. Leave the sensitive details out.

Start with a general inquiry about your goals and state. Applications and underwriting information belong in an insurer’s authorized system.
