1. Scope
This notice describes information handled through the Blackshore Financial website, the listed email address, and general inquiries submitted directly through the site. It does not describe an insurer’s application or underwriting systems, which have their own notices, records, and safeguards.
Blackshore Financial refers to Blackshore financial L.L.C., a Minnesota domestic limited liability company (File No. 1626850500022). General website inquiries are routed to Nicholas Cherry, an individually licensed insurance producer (NPN 22076207); the company does not hold a separate NPN.
This website is designed to avoid collecting health information, Social Security numbers, financial-account data, policy numbers, beneficiary details, and other underwriting information.
2. Information collected
Information you provide
Email inquiries may include the sender’s email address and whatever nonsensitive content the sender chooses to provide. The website’s general-inquiry form collects first and last name, email address and/or phone number, state of residence, contact preference and window, an optional general message, and approved campaign/source fields.
Information collected automatically
Hosting and security systems may process technical information such as an IP address, request time, browser or device information, requested path, response status, and security signals to deliver the site, protect forms, enforce request limits, and diagnose failures. Application logs are designed to record request identifiers and operational status without form contents.
Other sources
If Meta Instant Forms are later approved and used, a person may submit contact information directly to Meta. That workflow is not active through this website today and would require an updated data-flow review and notice before activation.
3. How information is used
- Respond manually by phone or email to the requested insurance-related inquiry
- Confirm the responding producer’s state authority and relevant availability
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website
- Honor privacy, stop-contact, and do-not-call requests
- Maintain records required for authorized business, compliance, or legal purposes
The website does not accept an insurance application, bind coverage, make an underwriting decision, or enroll a visitor in SMS, automated dialing, prerecorded calls, artificial-voice calls, or call recording.
5. 60-day inquiry retention and security
Adopted inquiry schedule: Blackshore’s copy of website and direct-email consultation inquiry content is scheduled for deletion no later than 60 calendar days after receipt. Records created later in an insurer application, policy transaction, legal hold, complaint, or legally required compliance process are separate and follow their applicable retention rules.
Accidentally submitted sensitive information: Blackshore’s procedure is to restrict access and permanently delete that content from Blackshore-controlled active and staff-accessible systems, including Zoho Mail Trash, within one business day after receipt. The workflow also propagates deletion to every approved recipient and provider that holds an accessible copy.
Safeguards are designed to include encrypted transport, restricted account access, multifactor authentication where supported, protected environment secrets, form validation, CSRF protection, request limiting, bot defenses, and operational logging that excludes inquiry contents. No system can promise absolute security.
7. Privacy choices and requests
Depending on residence and applicable law, a person may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or information about disclosures, and to appeal certain decisions. Some insurance, legal, security, or compliance records may be exempt or retained as permitted or required by law.
Send a privacy request to info@blackshorefinancial.com. State the request type and state of residence, and do not include account, policy, health, financial, or government-identification details in the first message. To appeal a response: Reply to the privacy response or email info@blackshorefinancial.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. Blackshore will evaluate requests under the law that applies to the requester and the information involved; insurance and legally required records may be subject to exceptions. Identity verification may be required through a safe, proportionate process.
Blackshore will honor a request to stop manual follow-up. Insurance-specific privacy rules, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and state privacy laws may apply differently depending on the information and activity involved; Blackshore will evaluate the actual request and update this notice when its practices materially change.
